Taiwan Power Company (TPC) Phase II Offshore Windfarm – August 2025 to Ongoing
Scope: Termination & Testing of 31 66Kv Inter-Array Cables (IACs) and 1 Export Cable
SPIE Wind Connect has been awarded a contract to execute the termination and testing of the Inter-Array Cables (IACs) for TPC Phase II, located approximately 20 kilometres offshore from Changhua County, Taiwan. The IACs connect 31 Vestas V174-9.5MW Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) to the offshore substation.
Summary of works includes:
- Pre-project coordination and planning meetings
- Pre-engineering
- Mobilisation of PPE, specialist tools, and equipment
- Site inductions, HIRA workshops, familiarisation training days, Fibre Optic Mock up
- Offshore works:
- Asset mobilisation and preparation
- Pre–term testing
- Stripping, routing & cleating of HV and FO cables within the jackets.
- Permanent hang off installation
- Installation of Nexans JB’s & Temperature Sensors
- Termination of HV cores – Nexans 66Kv
- Installation of dropper cabling from GIS to Nexans JB
- Splicing and patching FO cables into local FO termination boxes
- Post-installation testing including VLF, Lira and Impedance
- Mechanical Completion Documentation
