Van Oord – Windanker OWF – Main Campaign Jan 2026 – Termination & Testing of 66kV inter- cables – 21 WTGs, 5 Strings, 1 OSS
SPIE Wind Connect was awarded a contract to provide personnel and equipment to perform offshore terminations & testing of the Electrical Array Cables (EAC) on the Windanker Offshore Windfarm project as follows:
Campaign 1: T&T in Transition Pieces (TPs) – 16 locations
- Schedule: Q4 2025 – Q1 2026
Campaign 2: T&T in Offshore Substation (OSS) and T&T in Transition Pieces (TPs) – 5 locations
- Schedule: Q1 – Q2 2026
SPIE Wind Connects’ responsibilities:
- Pre-termination testing of IACs (by Subcontractor) after pulling and stripping (by others);
- Routing and dressing (fire protection, cleats…) of cable from hang-off to termination point including adjustments on CMS (together with VO riggers);
- Single core cable (power core) termination;
- Final connection;
- Fitting of identification labels;
- Preparation of cable ends for testing;
- SAT: VLF + PD + Tangent Delta
- After testing activities.
- Mock-up trials.
