Prysmian – GodeWind 3 & Borkum Riffgrund 3 OWF – January 2023 to Present – Termination & Testing of 66kV inter-array cables
The Correll Group, Electrical Engineering Division has been successful in securing a contract with Prysmian Powerlink for the testing and terminations of the 66kV inter-array cables and platform topside cables on the GodeWind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 Offshore Wind Farms.
The project will be completed over 3 phases; the first phase commencing imminently involves the PCC Extension Cables Installation on the Gode Wind 3 substation.
Schedule of works:
- Mock Trial: Mid Jan 2023 – Duration: 10 Days
- Godewind Substation Onshore Works: Mid Feb 2023: Duration 14 Days
- Borkum Riffgrund 3 Onshore Works: Jan 2024: Duration 48 Days
- Godewind 3 & Borkum Riffgrund 3 Offshore Works: March 2024: Duration 84 Days
Correll is responsible for:
- Preparation of project specific engineering documentation & procedure.
- Topside cable installation works on GOW3 OSS in shipyard
- Topside cable installation works on BKR3 OCS in shipyard
- WTG Mock Up Trial
- Inter-Array cabling termination & testing on 106 WTG’s consisting of
- Installation of the permanent hang-off
- Routing, cleating of the HV power cores, FO cables and earth cables
- Termination of TE 66kV Terminations
- Pre & Post Termination Testing
- Platform Connection Cable termination & testing on 4 Strings on the GOW3 OSS and 12 Strings on the BKR3 OCS consisting of
- Installation of the permanent hang-off
- Routing, cleating of the HV power cores, FO cables and earth cables
- Installation of Pfisterer size 4 terminations.
- Pre & Post Termination Testing
