Correll delivers bespoke solution for the Princes Amalia Offshore Wind Farm

15th February 2022: The Correll Group, Cable Installation and Power Services Division is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract from Jan De Nul for the replacement of an inter-array cable for Eneco’s Princes Amalia Wind Farm. This is a turnkey project utilising Correll’s Termination, Testing and Cable Pull-in services.

The wind farm owned by Eneco is located on the Dutch Continental Shelf, approximately 23 km from the coast of IJmuiden in Holland. At the time of construction it was the world’s deepest offshore wind farm, constructed at a depth of 19 to 24m. Consisting of 60 Vestas V80-2.0MW wind turbines, the offshore wind farm has an installed capacity of 120MW, which is sufficient to power 125,000 households.

Sam Dowey, Managing Director at Correll, commented; “We are delighted to have won this project and to be again working in close partnership with Jan De Nul, having collaborated on many previous projects. This project has been completed utilising Correll’s cable pull-in and termination & testing team under our new bespoke turnkey solution.
